On the cleanup table

Emory came through the birth canal in only about 20 minutes, so his little lungs hardly got squeezed at all, leaving a lot of extra mucus in his lungs. The cleanup crew had to work extra hard to get his passageways clear, and they gave him some oxygen to assist him.

Full head of hair

All I can say is enjoy it while it lasts, son. Emory's hair so far is mostly dark like his mom's, but with faint reddish highlights like his dad's.

The hospital staff rounded the number in this shot to an even 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

Tale of the Tape

Emory came in at 21.5 inches long. Oh, and he's definitely a boy.

Emory got a more thorough cleaning up a little later after delivery.
