Wedding: The Engagement: Tour of the Met
Saturday, March 4, 2000 9:45am The Metropolitan Museum of Art
A brief cab ride into Manhattan got us to the
Metropolitan Museum of Art
fifteen minutes after it opened.
Early Saturday morning is a quiet time at the Met, so we often found ourselves
completely alone as we explored its massive collection of priceless art.
Our first stop was in the European Paintings section, where we found Monet's
Bridge over a Pool of Water Lilies. Cathryn has a print of this famous
work hanging in her bedroom.
We were able to spend a little more than two hours roaming the galleries not
enough time to see it all, but enough to have a fun morning.
