Wedding: The Engagement: Times Square

Saturday, March 4, 2000 – 1:30pm
Columbus Circle to Times Square

As we left the park we found ourselves at Columbus Circle, and we continued our walk down Broadway to “The Crossroads of the World,” Times Square.  Along the way we passed the Ed Sullivan Theater, home of the Late Show with David Letterman, and the Hello Deli, where we spotted Rupert Jee, famous to fans of Dave’s show.

Saturday, March 4, 2000 – 2:00pm
The Phantom of the Opera

No surprise daytrip to Manhattan would be complete without a matinee peformance of a big-time Broadway musical.  We had tickets to the The Phantom of the Opera at The Majestic Theatre.  Cathryn knew some of the music, but had never seen the show before.  We both loved it, even though I had seen it several times before (but never on Broadway).
